I’ve always been a controller kind of guy. Sure, I can use keyboard and mouse no problem, but there’s just something about using a controller that feels more natural to me. Second nature, if you will. That being said, I’ve often wondered how I’d do playing my console games with a mouse and keyboard setup. The GameSir VX2 AimBox” target=”_blank” >GameSir VX2 AimBox Game Console Keyboard and Mouse Adapter provides an answer to this question, allowing you to use your keyboard and mouse on your console with ease.
The GameSir VX2 is a simple device. You plug your keyboard and mouse into it, and then plug it into your console via USB. That’s all there is to it. The GameSir App (more on that later) provides some customization options, but for the most part, it’s very much plug and play.
The same can be said for its 3.5mm audio port. I was able to plug my headphones into the GameSir VX2 and hear game audio and in-game chat just fine.

So, how does it work? In a word: flawlessly. I tested the GameSir VX2 with a few different games on both PS5 and Xbox Series S, and had no issues whatsoever. In fact, I found myself enjoying the experience more than I thought I would – tickled by the fact that I was essentially using my Xbox console as a PC.
Much of the enjoyment also comes from the GameSir App, which allows you to customize your mouse and keyboard settings for each game. The app also lets you create different profiles, so you can have different settings for different games. For example, I have one profile for first-person shooters and another for racing games.
The GameSir App is available for both iOS and Android, and it’s a must-have if you plan on using the GameSir VX2 with any regularity. You can certainly still use the adapter without the GameSir App, but having the app is essential if you are trying to get the most out of your VX2.

The only real word of warning I have is that some mouse and keyboard combinations might not be compatible with the GameSir VX2 AimBox. This is due to a driver issue, so the more standard your keyboard and mouse setup is, the more likely you’ll be able to use it with the adapter straight out of the box.
If you’re traditionally a PC gamer who’s looking to get an edge on the console competition, the GameSir VX2 AimBox is worth checking out. This keyboard and mouse adapter lets you use your preferred input devices on your game console – whether it be wired or wireless – giving you the accuracy and speed that can make all the difference in first-person shooters and other fast-paced games. Even if you’re not a PC gamer, the GameSir VX2 is still worth considering if you want to switch things up and try something new.
