Crystal Dynamics – the studio behind the rebooted Tomb Raider trilogy – appears to be hiring for a new game within the AAA space, leading many to believe that a new Lara Croft adventure may eventually be coming our way.
As reported by Op Attack, a job posting for an open Gameplay Camera Designer role at Crystal Dynamics contains a line that states, “Join now to be part of the formative stages of a new AAA game being built in our Redwood City studio, just south of San Francisco.”

While this could be for any game, it’s not so farfetched to imagine that the AAA title in question might be related to the Tomb Raider franchise. It is, after all, the 25th anniversary of the franchise that features one of, if not the most iconic female characters in all of gaming.
With the job description noting that the game is in “the formative stages” of development, a new game announcement would be a pretty sweet way to celebrate the anniversary of the longstanding Tomb Raider franchise. We’ll have to keep our guns holstered (and Winston locked in the fridge) for now though, as this is all just speculation at this point. But we Tomb Raider fans can certainly dare to dream.
