If you’ve followed any semi-trending indie gaming hashtag on Twitter over the past couple of years, you’ve likely seen Grapple Dog grace your timeline with its charming 2D platforming and high-flying, grapple hook-toting doggo.
Well, the moment has finally arrived. Grapple Dog – created by sole indie developer and pixel artist, Joseph Gribbin – has been given a release of February 10, 2021, and will be launching on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
In cooperation with Medallion Games, Grapple Dog will be the very first title published by Super Rare Originals – a brand new indie-focused publishing label for consoles and PC. Jazz Mickle is the game’s composer, with sound design done by Damion Sheppard.
I’ve personally been keeping an eye on Grapple Dog since discovering it a couple of years ago, and am thrilled to finally be able to play the game. It will feature six different colorful worlds to grappling, swing, and climb through as Pablo, the Grapple Dog, prevents the destruction of the world.
And, in case you were wondering, yes – you will be able to pet dogs.
Grapple Dog will launch on February 10 for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
