Following the success of Post Malone’s virtual concert in celebration of the Pokémon franchise’s 25th anniversary, it seems that Trainers around the world can expect more music later this year.
According to Rolling Stone, J Balvin and Katy Perry are just two of the artists who will be participating in a 14-track album that will fittingly be titled, Pokémon 25: The Album.
“We’re gonna come up with a crazy song. It’s going to catch everybody’s ear,” Balvin told Rolling Stone. “It’s easy to make a Pokémon song if you just want that fan base, but we’re not close-minded. We want everybody to vibe with Pokémon.”
The album will include music by 11 different Universal Music Group artists and is expected to be released by Capitol Records in Fall 2021.
