Indie developer Alientrap, along with publisher Whitethorn Games, have announced that their crafting adventure game, Wytchwood, will be released on December 9 for PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
Wytchwood is a charmingly whimsical-looking crafting adventure game set in a land of gothic fables and fairytales, such as Little Red Riding Hood and – from what’s shown off in the game’s gameplay trailer – what appears to be the black sheep from the “Bah bah black sheep” nursery rhyme.
You’ll take on the role of a mysterious old witch, as you explore strange country side finding magical ingredients that can be used for making sorcerous enchantments and interacting with the fantastical creatures of the woods, graveyards, snowy tundras, and more.
Addition features for Wytchwood includes:
- A rendered storybook art stlye
- Gathering, crafting, and puzzle gameplay
- A world full of tall tales, fables, colorful personas, and fantastical narratives
Wytchwood will launch on PC via Steam/EGS, Xbox Platforms, PlayStation platforms, and Nintendo Switch (US, JP-regions), on December 9, with the EU Nintendo Switch version launching on December 27.
