Let’s cut right to the chase: the DXRacer Craft Custom Gaming Chair Special Edition is an incredible gaming chair from the top down.
I’ve been fortunate enough to review a number of gaming chairs in my time, and the DXRacer Craft Series continues to build upon the iconic brand’s prestige as one of the go-to brands when it comes to gaming chairs.
I’ve previously reviewed the DXRacer King Series, Boss Series, and most recently, the Air Series, all of which have been wonderful chairs. My favorite was always the Boss Series, but I’ve been using the Air for the past few months. While I enjoyed the mesh cushion of the Air, I was excited to give the Craft Series a try, bringing me back to the more traditional High Density Mold Shaping Foam cushion.
What really sold it for me, however, was the awesome art design of the chair.
The particular model I received was the DXRacer Craft Custom Gaming Chair Special Edition Office Chair – Rabbit in Dino. A burst of color came exploding out as I unboxed the chair, and I was in love. The “Rabbit in Dino” embroidered design features a mischievous rabbit dressed as a dinosaur on the back of the chair, while the front design shows him hatching up his scheme. The bold yellow color also features DXRacer’s trademark racing stripes to accompany the graphic. Other designs in the Craft Series include thins like a Koi Fish, Spaceman, and a “Hello Human” graphic that features (you guessed it) a cat. It’s a fun and unique series that’s sure to please any DXRacer fan.
Beyond the stylish exterior, the DXRacer Craft Custom Gaming Chair Special Edition is a well-built and sturdy chair. It’s able to support up to 200-pounds, with the frame made of high-strength aluminum alloy, while the backrest and seat are upholstered with premium leather. The armrests are also adjustable to provide the perfect fit for nearly anyone – even a tall (6’2″) individual like myself.
Perhaps the most important feature of any gaming chair is comfort, and the DXRacer Craft Series hits the nail on the head. The backrest provides great lumbar support. The seat is also generously padded, and the high density shaping foam ensures that you won’t bottom out, no matter how long you game.
I don’t normally keep the detachable headrest pillow that comes with my chairs, but the Craft Series’ is actually one that I appreciate having. The pillow is designed to keep your neck and shoulders cool while maintaining a natural neck and head shape for postural support and comfort by using an advanced cooling gel to regulate body temperature while remaining comfortable.
